Privacy and cookies

What we keep

Your email, display name, town and an encrypted version of your password; plus your listings, bids, questions and ratings, because they are the marketplace itself. When card payments arrive they will be processed by Stripe: we never see or store card numbers.

What we use it for

To run your account and your auctions, to tell you about things that affect you (you have been outbid, you have won, you have a question) and to keep the site safe. Legal basis: performing the service you ask for when you create the account.

Cookies

We use two cookies, both essential: a session cookie to keep you signed in (teidebid_sid) and one to remember your language (tb_lang). There are no analytics or advertising cookies, which is why our cookie notice is informational rather than a consent form.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account by writing to hello@towpathstudio.com. Deleting your account removes your personal data; bids on already finished auctions are kept anonymously so other people’s history stays true.
